Dan Levy at the Annual ADHD Conference Sydney
Dan first explains the theory behind mindful movement in relation to ADHD and the brain, before giving a mini workshop on how to sit more easily functionally in a chair. The pathway is there for everyone if you listen to your body, it can quite easily influence your mind with some practice.
Dan Levy presenting at St Andrew Cathedral School PD for staff Health and Well being
Dan offers some alternative suggestions to mix up your daily bad habits of movement, on a rather basic level have you ever considered what it’s like to see the world through your less dominant eye, use only your left hand for a day or breath just through your right nostril. Could using your computer mouse with your left hand instead of the right influence your whole body organisation…slowly if you change small things in your life over time, with increased awareness, you give your body a chance to influence your mind in a flexible, less rigid way.
